Las Vegas 14-17 August 2006Peter and I went to Las Vegas to celebrate my 21st birthday! We stayed at the MGM Grand. If you want a full size picture, let me know. Our hotel, MGM Grand. ![]() New York New York, across the street. When we got to Vegas it was 930am Vegas time so we immediately went out exploring. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Inside of the Bellagio. ![]() ![]() Caesars Palace. ![]() ![]() ![]() Dinner on Monday night was at Mon Ami Gabi in Paris. It is the only restaurant on the strip with an outdoor patio for perfect people watching. Even though you have reservations you still have to wait to get an outside table. Across the street is the Bellagio so you can watch the fountains go off. ![]() ![]() ![]() After dinner we went to se La Femme at the MGM Grand, a topless show. It was really good and we sat in the front row at a table with another couple, Matt and Jen. Jen had just turned 21 also! After the show we gambled for a little bit and then went to Ghost Bar which is on the 55th floor of the Palms. There were a lot of dudes but the view of the strip was amazing!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When they finally kicked us out at like 330am we all went to the Hardrock Hotel to eat at Lucky's. Peter got the $7.77 NY strip steak and shrimp. We finally got back to our hotel after 430am (630 Texas time) after being awake for 26 hours and walking all over Vegas. ![]() The view from our room in the morning. ![]() ![]() Inside the NYNY hotel. We really wanted a good piece of big pizza so we went to a place called Nathan's which is NY style. We don't have that in Texas, it was GOOD! ![]() ![]() SO Cute, inside Harrah's. ![]() ![]() Canal Shops in the Venetian. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We had dinner on Tuesday night at Mesa Grill in Caesars which is Bobby Flay's restaurant. It was really interesting food with a southwestern style. ![]() ![]() We met up with Jen and Matt at Studio 54 at MGM Grand for their last night. This place was really fun because it was just a ton of people dancing and having a good time. Mixed drinks in Vegas are SO expensive, at least $11 per drink! $17 for 2 beers.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We layed out at the pool a couple times, it is really huge and has a super fun lazy river and it takes at least 10 minutes to float all the way around. ![]() ![]() ![]() The lion habitat at MGM. ![]() I had the best dinner of my life in Vegas. We originally had reservations for Delmonico but after talking to a bunch of local people, about 90% recommended Prime Steakhouse in the Bellagio, so we changed our reservation. When we got there we asked to sit close to the window because you can see the Bellagio fountains up close and personal. They told us people were already waiting to sit by the window but they would see what they could do, I figured it was a no go because we were the youngest people in the whole joint. BUT THEN, when they seated us we were right next to the window!! It was so sweet. ![]() ![]() Our dinner.. I had veal porterhouse and Peter had filet mignon, both perfect. Peter wanted some sort of seafood as well so he ordered a 2.5 pound lobster which they split for us and also brought out 5 sauces. We were so stuffed and it was really nice to take our time and watch the fountains go off about 4 times during our meal. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My super sweet cousin Megan came to our hotel after dinner to make me over and take us out. First we went to Cherry which is in a swanky resort outside of the city, that was my favorite, really laid back indoor/outdoor bar next to the pool area with really nice people. After that we went to Tabu which is in the MGM Grand where it was industry night. We stayed out till about 630am and had to wake up at 830am where I had the worst flight of my life... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The end |
